Doctoral Colloquium organised jointly with Bielefeld University and Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts

As part of the event organised by the PhD Programme in Business and Economics on 18 March 2024 at the campus of the Turkish-German University, Prof. Dr. Hermann Jahnke from Bielefeld University gave a presentation on "Data-driven Optimisation of Supply Chain Processes in E-grocery Retailing". Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Hermann Jahnke and Prof. Dr. Rıza Öztürk from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts, the partner of the programme, introduced the opportunities offered by the partner university for visiting researchers and answered questions from the students of the PhD Programme in Business and Economics. 

On 19 March 2024, a doctoral colloquium was organised by the partner university. The colloquium started with the students in the second semester of the PhD Programme in Business and Economics introducing themselves and their fields of study. Subsequently, Erencan Yavrucu, one of the students in the third semester of the PhD Programme in Business and Economics, gave a presentation titled " Location and Routing Problem under horizontal logistics collaboration: A mathematical model that takes customer satisfaction into account", while Ardıl Yılmaz Kaya, another PhD student in the third semester, presented " Nonprofit cost accounting and its information usefulness in decision-making". After the presentation of Eliza Starke, a PhD student from Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts, on promoting sustainable consumption, the doctoral colloquium ended with the presentation of David Winkelmann, a PhD student from Bielefeld University, on "Business analytics for logistics operations in e-grocery retailing".
